Article MashUp
Dressed in a Thierry Mugler-inspired black rubber dress adorned with gold origami pyramids, Oprah Winfrey certainly has power. Even in the OTT insanity that is Las Vegas, the designer who was named 'Designer of the Year' believes influence is the union of power and purpose. In 2009, Winfrey realized her promise through education and achieved her dreams in liberty. “We decide what’s good and, if the ideas are powerful enough, we can convince the world that it’s great. It's about being excited to be wrong because then you've discovered something new" she says when pressed to own up to some of her key accomplishments. The influential American is a woman of moral character and a source of strength for millions of her admirers. She’s the real deal, the total package, she’s iconic and powerful, and will be responsible for educating a new generation of women leaders. Oprah Winfrey was described by BBC as the "Armani of Apple", but after she made a career out of influencing others the buzz about her is starting to build. For most people, Oprah's influence is less direct but no less meaningful. She is known to invest more out of her own pocket than anything else. If all goes according to her masterplan, this TV star, magazine founder, businesswoman and celebrity is set to be one of the best.
